I really don’t hate my job, but if I told my sixteen year-old self what I was doing after college graduation she would laugh hysterically. Then slap me with the latest copy of Elle. I never wanted to be a fashion designer, I just wanted to be totally submerged in the fashion industry.
Don’t get me wrong, I still get my fix with subscriptions to Vogue, Elle, W, and Allure in addition to reading Style.com like it’s The Wall Street Journal. But it is enough? I guess my real question is “can a girl have enough fabulous in her life?”
I don’t know what sparked the rebellion in me, maybe it was seeing too many pairs of acid washed jeans with vintage NFL sweatshirts (lets be honest, that could cause most fashion starved girls to revolt) but I think it was the week where I accidentally wore the same outfit twice in one week and nobody noticed. In my defense it was really rainy that week and I had a horrible cold. So I finally decided that enough was enough. No I did not quit my job, do you think this shopping addiction pays for itself? Instead I did what every other levelheaded twenty-something girl would do. I decided to start a blog.
I know I can’t limit myself just to fashion cause to be honest; I love all the other pretty little things in the world. So as I bid adieu to my mundane existence, I welcome you to my world of pretty.
Oh fashion, it had to be you.
