.gwen had a little kickass lamb.

I know  I said that bright colors were it for NY Fashion Week but I guess Gwen didn’t get the memo, not that I mind at all.  She killed it with the black and white and I am really loving her jumpsuits.  I think the cherry on top had to be the ever so badass black & white bell skirt with the black leather jacket. I could so rock that look.

Oh Gwen, it had to be you.

.ultimate sweetness.

I didn’t think it was possible, but there is something I love more than Diane Von Furstenberg’s Spring 2012 line.  That would be Alive + Olivia’s Spring 2012 line. The colors are vibrant and beautiful and the skirts are flirty and sweet.  All I know is that they keep on winning every season.  Keep the sweetness coming!

Oh Alive + Olivia, it had to be you.

.the not so dirty diana.

New York Fashion week is in full swing and I am finding myself falling head over heels in love with everything that the designers are spitting out.  The Wall Street Journal said to expect tons of bright colors and silhouettes that are a throw back to the 60’s.  Well I could not be more pleased.  I wanted to make special note of my main gal Diane Von Furstenberg. She killed it with her gorgeous fabrics, full skirts, and amazing tailored suits.  The colors are a little muted for my taste but I nearly died from all of the beautiful prints. All I know is that I cannot wait for Spring.

Oh Diane, it had to be you.

.so here is the skinny.

I really don’t hate my job, but if I told my sixteen year-old self what I was doing after college graduation she would laugh hysterically.  Then slap me with the latest copy of Elle.  I never wanted to be a fashion designer, I just wanted to be totally submerged in the fashion industry.
Don’t get me wrong, I still get my fix with subscriptions to Vogue, Elle, W, and Allure in addition to reading Style.com like it’s The Wall Street Journal.  But it is enough?  I guess my real question is “can a girl have enough fabulous in her life?”
I don’t know what sparked the rebellion in me, maybe it was seeing too many pairs of acid washed jeans with vintage NFL sweatshirts (lets be honest, that could cause most fashion starved girls to revolt) but I think it was the week where I accidentally wore the same outfit twice in one week and nobody noticed.  In my defense it was really rainy that week and I had a horrible cold. So I finally decided that enough was enough.  No I did not quit my job, do you think this shopping addiction pays for itself?  Instead I did what every other levelheaded twenty-something girl would do.  I decided to start a blog.
I know I can’t limit myself just to fashion cause to be honest; I love all the other pretty little things in the world.  So as I bid adieu to my mundane existence, I welcome you to my world of pretty.

Oh fashion, it had to be you.
